About Us

Over twenty years ago Joanne Kennard came up with a design of a heat retention oven that not only kept the food hot during transport, but that could continue the cooking process while in transit, saving time and energy. This was used when attending friends and family gatherings. Even though the design worked well, after research it was decided that the market was not ready for such a product.

Fast- forward to 2011 and the opportunity to improve the design and test it in the market with the Christchurch Earthquakes. The EasyOven™ was field tested to provide hot food to the extended family who, were without electricity. It was then tested again in the Brisbane floods to assist friends who had little or no cooking equipment after the disaster.

Having been satisfied with the performance of the EasyOven™ and with the world becoming more aware of atmospheric pollution, smoke inhalation diseases and increasing costs of living it was time to launch the product as the IP including patents were also in place.

EasyOven is a proud partner of The UN Global Cooking Alliance - Clean Cookstoves.
